Its aim is to facilitate performing construction operations without harm to people directly or indirectly involved with construction activities.

Yonkers believes in identifying and communicating the hazards workers at each jobsite face, and providing workers training for measures to mitigate the hazards so that they can perform their work without injury to themselves or others.

Safety professionals guide and assist the project team with measures to prevent accidents and injuries. Ultimately, safety requires participation by all employees throughout the organization – from management to workers and subcontractors. All subcontractors working on any Yonkers project are required to sign-on to Yonkers’ Safety Program, comply with all project-specific safety requirements, and provide job-specific hazard analyses for the areas of work they will perform. In addition, subcontractors should be aware of the project’s Owners requirements and be able to comply with them
